How It All Started
I grew up about an hour from Chicago where my family and friends were fans of Chicago sports clubs. I relocated to Chicago to expand my marketing career options and readily became part of this city’s sporting and health/fitness spirit.
In 1997, I created and founded Sweat Home Chicago® to fulfill a need for a friend’s birthday who liked “workout” apparel that was brand named.
All of the top ten sportswear name brands only had company logos, not a “health/fitness” logo. We knew we had to create our own…and that’s how Sweat Home Chicago® was born.
We didn’t just succeed in giving our friend the perfect gift; Sweat Home Chicago® came to life, taking activewear to a whole new level. Not only did we start out with a fresh take on classic sportswear, but we also featured pure spring bottled water — a perfect way to stay hydrated during and after a workout.
